On October 27, took place at the Benidorm City Council the First Conference on Hotel Sustainability and Social Responsibility, promoted by the Pedro Zaragoza Orts Chair of Tourism Studies of the University of Alicante, the Benidorm City Council, the Costa Blanca Board, Turism of the Valencian Community, the Benidorm Tourism Foundation and HOSBEC, with the primary objective of knowing the opportunities of Sustainable Tourism in the Hospitality Sector in a high-level event in hybrid modality (online + face-to-face).

This conference, taking into account the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, organized the presentations divided into three round tables. The first, addressed the SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and the SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy, with a broad focus on the environment, the second table dealt with the SDG 5: Gender Equality and the SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, considering social sustainability in the hospitality industry and, in the last block, a round table called: Sustainable today, leader tomorrow.

From InnoEcoTur we have had the pleasure of being part of the audience to listen and meet speakers of recognized trajectory, who have shared their knowledge and experience in the application of Corporate Social Responsibility policies in the Hospitality Sector considering environmental, economic and social aspects, while at the same time we have been able of strengthen contact networks in search of beneficial synergies for the project.
