Este sistema est\u00e1 integrado con la planta de generaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica de Melilla actualmente en operaci\u00f3n, de forma que, si existe alg\u00fan fallo en la central, el sistema de almacenamiento es capaz de generar energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica evitando cortes de suministro. La soluci\u00f3n est\u00e1 basada en la reutilizaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de noventa bater\u00edas interconectadas y con la electr\u00f3nica de control de potencia instalada capaz de aportar una hasta 4 MW, con una energ\u00eda acumulada m\u00e1xima de 1,7 MWh. Este proyecto es la primera experiencia a gran escala de reutilizaci\u00f3n de bater\u00edas de segunda vida en Espa\u00f1a y una iniciativa singular a nivel europeo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objetivos:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ganar experiencia en el dise\u00f1o de plantas para aplicaciones estacionarias, usando bater\u00edas de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos, cuya primera vida ha finalizado. Adicionalmente se obtendr\u00e1 experiencia operativa, \u00fatil para definir qu\u00e9 aplicaciones son m\u00e1s favorables, y tienen sentido en un modelo de circularidad y sostenibilidad a futuro.<\/li>\n<li>Desarrollo de los est\u00e1ndares t\u00e9cnicos para seleccionar bater\u00edas de segunda vida (definir protocolos de prueba y valores m\u00ednimos de KPI de aceptaci\u00f3n).<\/li>\n<li>Disponer de los datos de la bater\u00eda durante el funcionamiento del sistema en Melilla y desarrollo de un modelo de degradaci\u00f3n.
